The 2010 Millard Fillmore Dollar will be the first release of the year for the Presidential Dollar coin series and represent the thirteenth release in the series overall. The tentative release date for the coin is February 18, 2010. Details regarding an official launch ceremony for the coins have not yet been announced.
The obverse of the coin features as portrait of former President Millard Fillmore designed and sculpted by Don Everhart. The obverse inscriptions read "Millard Fillmore", "In God We Trust", "13th President" and the years served "1850-1853".
The reverse of the coin will feature the Statue of Liberty image that has been used for each coin of the Presidential Dollar series. The reverse inscriptions include "United States of America" and the denomination "$1". The date, mint mark, and motto "E Pluribus Unum" appear on the edge of the coin.
The Millard Fillmore Dollar will be struck for circulation at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. A proof version of the coin will be produced at the San Francisco Mint and issued in some of the US Mints collectible coin offerings.
